This article will guide you through the steps for applying promotions to services, classes, memberships, packages, and gift cards online.

- Promotions can be applied to services, classes, memberships, packages, and gift cards online
- You have the option to configure promotions to automatically apply when clients book appointments online.
- Promotions set to auto-apply during online appointment scheduling will not be applicable to clients who have a membership or package that already covers the service being booked.
- Clients can use promotions online when using the custom guest app, the booking widget, and the express checkout link.
- To determine which promotions can be used online, check the box next to the "Can Be Used For Online Bookings & Purchases" setting in the Restrictions section of the promotion's general settings.
- Promotions cannot be used to pay for taxes or fees
- By default, promotions are applied to the least expensive item. However, you can configure your account to apply promotions to the most expensive item instead. This option is managed through the "Apply Promotions in Order of Highest to Lowest Item Cost" setting on the Business Setup > Settings page. For franchise businesses, this setting is controlled at the parent level.
- If the promotion criteria and benefit items are identical, the discount will be applied to the least expensive item. Learn more here.

Applying Promotions to Services Online
Promotion Setup
To apply the above promotion to services online, your clients should:
- Navigate to your booking widget
- Select the desired location (if the account has multiple locations)
- Select the services they would like to book an appointment for
- Click on "Select Time" to proceed to the date and time picker. From there, choose a date and time. (The time picker will display a monthly view by default)
- On the checkout page, sign in using the "Sign In" hyperlink or log in using a Facebook or Apple account, or create a new account.
. - After signing in or creating an account, enter the promotional code provided in the "Apply Gift Card/Promo Code" section on the checkout page of the booking widget. If the promotion is set to auto-apply, there is no need to enter the code manually, as the promotion will be applied automatically.
- After entering the promotional code, click the "Apply" button
- Based on how the criteria and benefits were configured above, the promotion only covers 70% of the cost for one of the selected services (Women's Haircut).
Applying Promotions to Classes Online

To apply the above promotion to classes online, your clients should:
- Navigate to your booking widget
- Select the desired location (if the account has multiple locations)
Select the desired class on a date and time that are convenient
Next, select the attendee type and specify the quantity
- On the checkout page, sign in using the "Sign In" hyperlink or log in using a Facebook or Apple account, or create a new account.
- After signing in or creating an account, enter the promotional code provided in the "Apply Gift Card/Promo Code" section on the checkout page of the booking widget.
After entering the promotional code, click the "Apply" button
Based on how the criteria and benefits were configured above, the promotion would cover 80% of the total amount for the class.
Applying Promotions to Memberships Online

To apply the above promotion to memberships online, your clients should:
- Navigate to your booking widget
- Select the desired location (if the account has multiple locations)
- Select the Memberships tab
- Click on the "Buy" button next to desired membership
- On the checkout page, sign in using the "Sign In" hyperlink or log in using a Facebook or Apple account, or create a new account.
- After signing in or creating an account, enter the promotional code provided in the "Apply Gift Card/Promo Code" section on the checkout page of the booking widget.
- After entering the promotional code, click the "Apply" button
- Based on how the criteria and benefits were configured above, the promotion covers $10 of the total amount for the membership.
Applying Promotions to Packages Online

To apply the above promotion to packages online, your clients should:
- Navigate to your booking widget
- Select the desired location (if the account has multiple locations)
- Select the Packages tab
- Click on the "Buy" button next to desired package
- On the checkout page, sign in using the "Sign In" hyperlink or log in using a Facebook or Apple account, or create a new account.
- After signing in or creating an account, enter the promotional code provided in the "Apply Gift Card/Promo Code" section on the checkout page of the booking widget.
- After entering the promotional code, click the "Apply" button
- Based on how the criteria and benefits were configured above, the promotion sets the package price at $10, regardless of the original price.
Applying Promotions to Gift Cards Online
Promotion Setup
To apply the above promotion to gift card online, your clients should:
- Navigate to your booking widget
- Select the desired location (if the account has multiple locations)
- Select the Gift Cards tab
- Enter the details of the purchase, such as the amount, who the gift card is from, the recipient's name, etc.
- After entering the details of the purchase, click the "Continue Checkout" button
- On the checkout page, sign in using the "Sign In" hyperlink or log in using a Facebook or Apple account, or create a new account.
- After signing in or creating an account, enter the promotional code provided in the "Apply Gift Card/Promo Code" section on the checkout page of the booking widget.
- After entering the promotional code, click the "Apply" button
- Based on how the criteria and benefits were configured above, the promotion will cover the full cost of the gift card, making it free.
