Push Notifications for Campaigns

MyTime allows merchants the ability to send campaign messages via push notification rather than just email or SMS. You could save money on text message fees by using push notifications via the MyTime Guest App. If you would like to add the MyTime Guest App to your MyTime plan, please contact support@mytime.com.  In this article, we will explore how to configure push notifications for campaigns. 


Things to know:

  • The custom guest app must be part of your subscription in order to use push notifications
  • If the guest app is not active on your account, the push notification option will be disabled
  • Push notifications can only be sent to clients who have the MyTime Guest App installed on their mobile devices
  • The push notification option is only shown in the "Deliver By" dropdown menu for all the marketing campaign templates where SMS is used.
  • Push notification option will not be available on campaign templates saved prior to the launch of this feature.

Add Push Notification Message Content

To configure push notification messages for campaigns:

  1. Navigate to Marketing > Campaigns 
  2. Here you can use information from an existing template or create your own
  3. From the list of available campaign templates where SMS is used, select the one you want to configure for push notifications. For instance, consider the promotion template. 
  4. Select the 'Push Notification Message' tab
  5. Add the content for your push notification                                                                                                              camp 2.png
  6. Save the template


Send Push Notification Marketing Campaign

  1. Hover over the desired template
  2. Click on the Send button                                                                                                                                              camp.png
  3. Next, select 'Push Notification Message' from the ‘Deliver By’ drop-down menu
  4. Click on the 'Next Select Recipients' button at the bottom right of the page
  5. Apply the desired filters 
  6. Once satisfied with your recipient list, click on the Send button Campaigns-MyTime (2).png


On the Campaigns Sent tab under the Sent Push Notification Campaigns section, you will find a list of all the push notification campaigns that have been previously sent. This includes information about the campaigns themselves, such as their names, dates they were sent, and performance metrics.
