Booking Appointments for Multi-Client Services In-store

Multi-client services allow you to schedule and manage appointments involving multiple clients simultaneously. This feature is ideal for services such as couples massages or any service where several clients participate together. In this article, we will walk you through the steps to schedule multi-client services in-store.


Things to know:


  • The ability to schedule appointments for multi-client services in-store is governed by the Accessing Appointments access control setting.
  • For franchise businesses, services can be configured for additional clients at the parent and child level. Learn more here.
  • Family member accounts will have the option to book services for family members and additional clients 
  • This feature does not work for pet accounts. 
  • Each client on the appointment will receive a booking notification once the "Send confirmation to additional client" checkbox is checked.
  • After scheduling a multi-client appointment, you can change the additional client through the appointment modal. Once this change is made, the appointment will appear on the newly added client's profile and will be removed from the originally selected client's profile.
  • Canceling the appointment cancels the appointment for the primary client and the additional client(s).
  • When a multi-client service is scheduled, the names of all clients will appear in the appointment notifications sent to staff members.

Scheduling Appointments for Multi-Client Services In-Store

  1. Navigate to the Scheduler
  2. Filter by location
  3. Click on the ‘New Appointment’ button below the calendar on the left-hand side of the Schedule or on a specific time slot directly in the schedule
  4. When the appointment modal opens, you can add your main client and the service configured for additional clients. Once the service is added, the additional client fields will be displayed:                                                                                                                                                                   
  5. In the additional client fields, you can search for an existing client using the search field or add a new client using the new client icon on the right-hand side 
  6. The "Send confirmation to additional client" checkbox is checked by default. If you do not wish to notify the additional clients, you can uncheck this box.
  7. Save


Viewing Multi-Client Appointments on Client Profile and Scheduler


Scheduler


When a multi-client appointment is scheduled, the Scheduler will display “+X” (where X is the number of additional clients) to indicate additional clients have been added. 


Client profile


You can see the history of appointments for both clients on the main client profile. The client's profile will show the additional client on the appointment under Upcoming Appointments or Past Bookings and Product Purchases
