Summary vs Detailed Report Exports

Modified on Wed, 22 Jan at 1:26 PM

MyTime offers flexible report exporting options in either a summary or detailed format. The summary format mirrors the report’s non-expanded view, presenting data by date with one row per date for easy, quick reference. The detailed format corresponds to the expanded view, displaying all tickets for each date to support more in-depth analysis. These two formats accommodate the diverse needs of users. In this article, we’ll walk through step-by-step instructions on how to export reports effectively in both formats.

Things to know:

  • Some reports can only be exported in a summary format, others exclusively in a detailed format, and some provide both options.
  • Additionally, you have the flexibility to download both summary and detailed report versions as PDFs.
  • For locations with a Store ID, the Store ID column will be included in the detailed report export when downloaded as CSV/PDF but will not appear in the summary report under the "By Staff Member" filter.
  • When filtered to "By Location", the Store ID column will be visible in both the summary and detailed reports when downloaded as CSV/PDF.
  • If filtering by a location without a Store ID, the Store ID column will still appear in both the summary and detailed downloads (CSV/PDF).

Summary Report Exports

For reports that offer a summary version upon export, the data will be organized by date, reflecting the non-expanded view of the report. To access a summary version of the report after exporting, simply:

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > ReportsScreenshot 2024-10-18 132015.jpg
  2. Locate the desired report in the appropriate section
  3. Click on the report to open it
  4. Filter the report using the available filters
  5. Click the "UPDATE" button to generate the data you need
  6. On the right side of the report page, you’ll find an option to download the report as either a CSV or PDF
  7. For reports that offer the flexibility to choose between downloading a summary or a detailed version, a pop-up will be presented with both options. Click the "Download Summary Report" option to begin the download progress.
  8. For reports that are only available in the summary version, clicking the export option will begin the download process automatically, and the export will be added to the download queue. Once the process is complete, the report will be automatically downloaded, and a download link will be provided for future access.
  9. The data will be organized by date, offering a clear overview with a separate row for each date, which enhances quick comprehension.
