Deleting Sales Tax

This article will provide guidance on how to delete sales taxes configured on the account and clarify which tickets will be affected by the deletion of a sales tax.


Thinks to Know:

  • You have the ability to delete any sales tax that has been configured on your account
  • If a ticket with sales tax is still open, once the sales tax is deleted from the account, it will no longer be applied to that ticket.
  • The deletion of a sales tax will have no impact on tickets that have already been closed


To delete a sales tax:

  1. Navigate to Business Setup > Settings
  2. Locate the Tax Configuration and Management section on the settings page
  3. Select the 'Edit' hyperlink beside the tax you wish to delete
  4. Click on the 'Delete Tax' option located at the bottom right corner of the modal
     
  5. Confirm the deletion by clicking the "Delete" button                                                                                                                          
  6. Ensure to click on the save button on the main settings page 


Deleting sales taxes as directed ensures that future transactions do not include sales tax.
