You can control who can book online by specifying preferred email domains. This feature lets you restrict bookings to certain email domains while allowing others to use guest checkout instead. In this article, we will explain how this works.
Things to know:
- This feature is controlled by a hidden setting that only the MyTime team can enable. To enable the hidden setting, please contact our Support Team at support@mytime.com.
- Clients with email domains that aren't listed in the configuration can book with your business as a guest if the "Allow guest checkout?" setting is enabled.
- You also have the option to set the "How should online bookings be handled?" setting to "Keep online bookings in a 'pending state' until you personally approve them" which will give you more control over these guest bookings.
Once the hidden setting is configured with the preferred email domains (e.g., gmail.com, yahoo.com), clients who visit your booking widget and attempt to schedule an appointment using an email domain that is not listed will receive an error message, as shown in the screenshot below, when they try to create an account for online booking or purchases.
