When customers book online, MyTime will suggest related Add-On services they can add to their appointment for a price. This allows you to effortlessly upsell to your clients.
Things to know:
- Add-on services do not appear in your main services list online; they only appear as an optional addition after the client selects a related service.

The option to ensure that the same staff member is selected for both the core service and the add-on service is controlled by a hidden setting that only the MyTime team can enable. To enable this hidden setting, please contact our Support Team at support@mytime.com. Once the hidden setting is enabled, the following will occur:
If the "No Preference" option is selected, the system will choose the same employee to perform both the core service and the add-on service.
For multi-staff accounts: If "No Preference" is selected, the system will assign an employee who can perform the add-on service, even if the same employee cannot complete the core service.
For non-multi-staff accounts: If "No Preference" is selected and no single employee can handle both the core and add-on services, clients will see an error message stating that no employee is available.
For franchise businesses, global services will not appear in the list of services when configuring local add-ons. However, a local add-on can be applied to a global service in-store or online if it is set to apply to all services. If the add-on is configured to apply only to specific services, it cannot be assigned to the global service. Conversely, global add-ons cannot be assigned to local services unless they are configured to apply to all services.
Creating Add-On Services
To set up Add-On services:
- Navigate to your Business Setup > Services Menu
- Scroll to the bottom of your Services Menu to the Add-Ons category, and select Setup
- In the popup, enter the Add-On name, duration, description, location, qualified staff, and price. You can also add resources to the Add-On. For more information about Resource Booking, click here.
- Next, select Add Services under Can be added to.
- Select all services the Add-On will be offered with. When you are finished, click Save.
This Add-On can now be easily added to each connected service during the booking process (both booking online and in-store).
When a customer selects one of the connected services while booking online, a pop-up will appear asking if they want to include an Add-On with the purchase.
When you book an appointment from your Scheduler, select +Add-on to easily include an Add-On service with the appointment.
