When a client purchases a gift card online, the recipient will receive an email with all the gift card details. The gift card can be redeemed in multiple ways in-store. In this article, we will explore each option.
Things to know:
- To redeem a gift card in POS, ensure the client has either the email with the gift card information or a printed copy of the gift card (if the QR code will be scanned). Alternatively, the client can provide the gift card code directly, or you can locate it using the Gift Card Balance report.

Scan the gift card QR code using a barcode scanner
Manually enter the gift card code
Redeeming Gift Cards in POS
To redeem a gift card in POS, simply:
- Navigate to POS > New Ticket
- Add a client
- Select the location from the drop-down menu
- Add an item to the ticket
- Next, select the "Take Payment" button
- On the payment screen, you can click "Scan" next to the Gift Card option to scan the QR code with a barcode scanner, or manually enter the Gift Card number and then click the "Apply" link.
- After successfully applying the gift card to the ticket, you can proceed to close the ticket.
