Deep Linking Gift Cards on Booking Widget

We provide the option to generate a button or link that directly adds gift cards to your clients' shopping carts for online purchases through your website. In this article, we will walk through the configuration process.

To create a direct link to gift cards on your website using Express Checkout:

1. Navigate to Business Setup > Website Tools 
2. Select the Setup button next to "Add Appointment Booking to Your Website"
3. Next, select either the Booking Widget or Express Checkout options then proceed to set up the widget                                                                                                         

Booking Widget

1. Firstly, customize your booking page theme. Here you can customize:  

   • Book Button Style: This allows you to decide whether to use MyTime's default button style or add your own. Selecting the "Use My Own Button" option will remove the additional button settings and allow you to add your button HTML code to be embedded. The following options are only visible if the "Use Default Button" option is selected: 

     • Button Color: Select the desired color you would like to be displayed for your button on the widget

     • Button Text Color: Select the desired color you would like to be displayed for your button text on the widget

     • Button Font Style: Select the desired font you would like to be displayed for your button text on the widget

     • Button Size: Select the desired size you would like to be displayed for your button on the widget

     • Button Text: Here you can customize what you would like your button to state

   • Widget Theme: This allows you to decide whether to use MyTime's default widget theme or add your own. When "Default theme" is selected, the primary color and secondary color fields are prefilled and do not allow you to edit. If the "Custom theme" option is selected, you can customize both the primary and secondary color fields to your desired colors

   • Header: Here you can decide if you want to display your logo and/or business name

   • To the right of these settings, you can see the preview for the button and theme based on what was selected
2. Click Next
3. On the installation page, you can:                                                                                                                                                                          

   • Default Location: Here you can decide if your widget should display all locations (for accounts with multiple locations) or only specified ones

   • Widget Includes: Select 'Buy Gift Cards' for the link to be deep-linked to gift cards only

   • Default To: Here you can decide which page the link should be directed to when clicked. This field is only available if more than one option is selected in the "Widget Includes" field. Eg: for deep linking gift cards, you can also give clients access to their account by adding the 'Access to my account' option. If both options are selected, the default field will be displayed 

   • Code to embed online booking on your website: The code to copy and embed to your website will be visible here

   • Google Tag Manager: Here you can enter your Google Analytic Tag Manager code so that it can be added to your embedded link

   • Google Analytics 4 ID: Here you can enter your Google Analytics 4 ID so that it can be added to your embedded link

   • Facebook Pixel: Here you can enter your Facebook Pixel ID so that it can be added to your embedded link. This is used to track custom events like 'PageView' and 'Schedule' 

   • Custom CSS: Here you can customize your widget by adding custom CSS instructions

Express Checkout

1. Firstly, customize your booking page. Here you can:
   • Select a specific location from the Default Location drop-down menu (for accounts with multiple locations)
   • Select “Buy Gift Cards” from the Booking Page Includes drop-down menu
   • Set up your theme to customize how the button and widget will appear
2. Select Next                                                                                                               
3. Copy the generated code                    
4. Paste the code where you would like it to appear on your website

Whenever clients click that button, they will be directed to the Gift Card tab on their widget
