Marking Appointments as No-Show on Scheduler App

Modified on Fri, 6 Jun at 12:50 PM

Clients may miss appointments for various reasons. As such, MyTime allows merchants to mark missed appointments as "No Show" for record-keeping purposes. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to mark an appointment as "No Show" on the scheduler app.

Things to know:

  • If the "No Show" automated message is activated, once an appointment is marked as a no-show, the client will receive the automated message.
  • If there's a cancellation policy in place, you'll be prompted to charge a fee when marking an appointment as a no-show
  • For prepaid appointments marked as no-shows, the associated ticket will become void
  • Details of appointments marked as "No Show" will appear under the Cancellations / No Shows report. Learn more here
  • When an appointment is booked online, a ticket is automatically generated. If the appointment is later canceled (either online or in-store), the system will handle the associated ticket based on the service configuration:
    • Deposit Fee Configured: If a deposit is required for the service, canceling the appointment will automatically close the ticket.
    • Prepaid Appointments: If the appointment is prepaid and canceled within the cancellation policy, the ticket is automatically voided.
    • Cancellation Fee Applied:  Whether or not the appointment was prepaid, if a cancellation fee is applied at the time of cancellation, the original ticket will be voided, and a separate ticket will be created specifically for the cancellation fee.
    • Appointments with Tax Applied: If tax is applied to the appointment, canceling it will result in the ticket being automatically voided.
    • No Deposit, Prepayment, Cancellation Fee, or Tax: If none of the above conditions apply, the ticket will be automatically voided upon cancellation.
