You have the option to establish custom prices or durations for specific clients, pets, or family members, which will automatically apply to all future in-store and online bookings. This eliminates the need to make adjustments each time a client schedules an appointment. You can manage these settings either through the scheduler or within the client's profile. In this article, we will provide a step-by-step guide on how to set custom durations and prices for clients.
Things to know:
- Custom pricing and duration are independent of one another
- Custom price and duration won't be applied retroactively to appointments that are already in your calendar. They will only be applicable to future appointments.
- When a custom price or duration is set for a client, pet, or family member, and that client books online, the widget will display the custom price or duration.
- For pet businesses, setting a custom price or duration overrides the pricing and duration set by breed on the service menu.
- If the general pricing and duration for a service change on the service menu, the custom price or duration set will not be affected
- For accounts with the "Multi-Staff Appointments" setting enabled, the ability to configure custom prices and durations is unavailable on the appointment modal.
- Once a staff member has the "Edit Client Information" or "Edit Appointments" access control setting enabled, they will have the ability to set custom pricing and duration. However, if you wish to allow staff members to edit client information and appointments but prevent them from saving custom pricing or duration, a hidden setting needs to be enabled. Set Custom Service Price on the Appointment Modal
To set a custom price on the appointment modal:
- Navigate to the Schedule > Create a new appointment
- Add the client, staff, and service
- Adjust the price of the service and the phrase "Always charge {Client's name} this price" will display below
- Check that box
- Save
Once saved, the custom price for this service is saved to the client's profile.
Set Custom Service Duration on the Appointment Modal
To set a custom duration on the appointment modal:
- Navigate to the Schedule > Create a new appointment
- Add the client, staff, and service
- Adjust the duration of the service, and the phrase "Always use this duration for: Client's name" will display below
- Check that box
- Save
Once saved, the custom duration for this service is saved to the client's profile.
Set Custom Service Price and Duration from the Client's Profile
To set a custom price and duration on the client's profile:
- Navigate to the Client's tab
- Filter by the desired location
- Locate the client in the search bar
- Open the client's profile and click the "Edit" icon
- Locate the "Custom Service" section at the bottom of the client's profile
- Click "+Add a custom service" to add your service and select a staff member
- You may modify the service's duration or price by checking the appropriate box next to these parameters. You can opt to alter just the price, just the duration, or both.

Once saved, the custom price or duration for this service will be saved to the client's profile.

To set a custom price and duration on the pet's profile:
- Navigate to the Client's tab
- Filter by the desired location
- Locate the pet in the search bar
- Open the client's profile and locate the pet section
- Click the "Edit" icon next to the pet's profile
- Locate the "Custom Service" section at the bottom of the client's profile
- Click the "+Add a custom service" to add your service and select a staff member
- You may modify the service's duration or price by checking the appropriate box next to these parameters. You can opt to alter just the price, just the duration, or both.
- Save
Once saved, the custom price or duration for this service will be saved to the pet's profile.
