By default, we match clients and users based on their first names and email addresses. However, you have the option to match clients and users solely based on their email addresses, even if their first names differ. This article will explore both matching options.
Things to know:
To have clients and users be matched based solely on their email is managed by a hidden setting and is disabled by default. To enable the hidden setting, please contact our support team at support@mytime.com.
Match Client & User by First Name & Email Address
When the hidden setting is disabled, if a client attempts to sign up on your booking widget using the same email address and first name as the client created in-store, both profiles are synced.
However, a new client profile will be created if they use the same email address but a different first name.
Match Client & User by Email Address Only
When this hidden setting is enabled, clients and users will be matched solely based on their email addresses, even if their first names differ. When a client signs up on the booking widget with the same email address but a different first name as the client created in-store, both profiles are synced (matched).
