Deleting Recurring Appointment via Scheduler App

This article explains how to delete recurring appointments via the scheduler app.  


Things to know:

  • The ability to schedule a recurring appointment is controlled by the "Accessing Appointments" access control permission.
  • Cancelled recurring appointments will appear in the Cancellation/No Show Report just like any other cancelled appointment.
  • Cancelled recurring appointments are immediately updated in both the client’s in-store profile and the My Account page in the client’s online experience.
  • When a single appointment is cancelled from a recurring series, that one appointment is removed from the series and marked as cancelled on both the client’s in-store profile and the My Account page in the client’s online experience. The remaining appointments in the recurring series are unaffected and will continue as scheduled.

Deleting a Single Appointment From a Recurring Series via Scheduler App


  1. Log in to the app. For detailed instructions, learn more here
  2. Once signed in, you will be directed to the schedule by default
  3. Filter to the appropriate location and staff. Learn more here
  4. Locate the appointment you wish to cancel and tap to open 
  5. Tap the 'Cancel' button in the top menu
  6. Select the 'Only this one' option from the 'Cancel Recurring Appointment' pop-up 
  7. If cancellation reasons are configured for the business, the 'Cancellation Reason' pop-up will appear to select a reason for the cancellation 
  8. Tap 'OK' 


Only the selected appointment will be cancelled and removed from the schedule.


Deleting All Appointments From a Recurring Series via Scheduler App

 

  1. Log in to the app. For detailed instructions, learn more here
  2. Once signed in, you will be directed to the schedule by default
  3. Filter to the appropriate location and staff. Learn more here.
  4. Locate the appointment you wish to cancel and tap to open 
  5. Tap the 'Cancel' button in the top menu 
  6. Select the 'All upcoming appointments' option from the 'Cancel Recurring Appointment' pop-up 
  7. If cancellation reasons are configured for the business, the 'Cancellation Reason' pop-up will appear to select a reason for the cancellation 
  8. Tap 'OK' 


All future appointments in the recurring series will be cancelled and removed from the schedule.
