When adding a new franchise (child) account, you have the option to use the template of an existing franchise account. This will automatically replicate account settings and configurations to the new account. In this article, we will guide you through the steps of creating a new franchise account using a template from an existing account.
Things to Know:
- You can specify which features should not be copied to a new franchise account when using an existing franchise account template. This is controlled by a hidden setting that only the MyTime team can enable. Please contact MyTime support at Support@mytime.com to enable this hidden setting.
- Only franchise accounts associated with a single location will appear in the template dropdown
- If no franchise accounts are listed under the Location Management tab with a single associated location, the option to create an account using an existing child account template will not be available.
When you create a new account using an existing child account template, the following features will be replicated by default:
- Company Settings
- Clients
- Customize Client Fields
- Pet Breeds
- Promotions
- Services
- Classes
- Products
- Intake forms
- Packages
- Memberships
- Custom Reports
- Gift Card Templates
- Hourly Work Types
- Kiosk Configuration
- Marketing Templates
Creating a New Child Account Using an Existing Child Account Template
To create a new child account using an existing child account template, simply:
- Log in at the parent level
- Navigate to the Location Management tab
- Select the +Add Child Account button
- The "Add Child Account" modal will appear, where you can add the following
- First Name: The first name of the franchise owner
- Last Name: The last name of the franchise owner
- Company Name: The business name of the franchise
- Phone Number: -The phone number for the franchise owner
- Email Address: The email address for the franchise owner
- Template: Select from the dropdown menu an existing child account template that you would like to use to replicate the account settings and other configurations
- Brand Name: The business' brand name
- MyTime Subscription: Select from the drop-down menu the desired subscription
- Paid By: Select whether the subscription will be covered by the parent or if the child account owner will need to enter a credit card for direct billing.
- Once all the required fields are filled out, don't forget to click save!

- After you add the location, the system will begin copying the selected existing child account template to the new child account.
After 5 to 10 minutes, refresh the page, and you should be able to log in, where you will see all the features that were replicated.
