Minimum & Maximum Gift Card Amount

Businesses have the capability to set both minimum and maximum gift card amounts that can be purchased through the booking widget. Configuration for these limits can be done via the Business Setup > Settings page. For example, if the minimum amount is set to $20, a client trying to purchase a gift card on the booking widget for less than $20 will be unable to proceed. Similarly, if the maximum gift card amount is set to $500, a client attempting to purchase a gift card for more than $500 on the booking widget will be unable to proceed.


Things to know:

  • The minimum and maximum gift card amount limits do not apply to in-store gift card purchases
  • The default minimum amount is $0

Configure Gift Card Minimum & Maximum Amount


To configure the gift card minimum and maximum amount:

  1. Navigate to Business Setup > Settings
  2. Scroll down to the Gift Cards section
  3. Fill in the "Minimum amount for gift cards" and "Maximum amount for gift cards" fields with the desired values                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            gc.png

Gift card minimum amount: $20


  1. Navigate to your booking widget or website 
  2. Choose the desired location (applicable for accounts with multiple locations)
  3. Select the Gift Cards link in the header
  4. Enter the details of the purchase
  5. Add an amount less than $20 
  6. Continue Checkout 
  7. An error message is displayed "Amount must be at least $20"                                                                                                                         gc 2.png


In order to proceed, the amount will have to be increased. Once that is done, the gift card can be successfully purchased.


Gift card maximum amount: $100


  1. Navigate to your booking widget or website 
  2. Choose the desired location (applicable for accounts with multiple locations)
  3. Select the Gift Cards link in the header
  4. Enter the details of the purchase
  5. Add an amount greater than $100
  6. Continue Checkout 
  7. An error message is displayed: "Amount must be less than $100"                                                                                                               gc 1.png


In order to proceed, the amount will have to be decreased. Once that is done, the gift card can be successfully purchased.
