In this article, we will look at the meaning of each setting under the Gift Card section on the Settings page.
| Setting | Description |
Minimum Amount For Gift Cards | Defines the lowest dollar amount a customer can enter when purchasing a gift card online. Any attempt to purchase below this limit is blocked. Example: If set to $20, a customer attempting to buy a $15 gift card online will be prompted to enter $20 or more. Learn more here. |
| Maximum Amount For Gift Cards | Defines the highest dollar amount a customer can enter when purchasing a gift card online. This cap applies strictly to online purchases and does not affect in-store sales. Example: If set to $500, a customer attempting to buy an $800 gift card online will see an error preventing the transaction. Learn more here. |
Display Unassigned Gift Cards On The Purchaser's Profile | If enabled, unassigned gift cards will be shown on the purchaser's profile by default. You can later assign the gift card to a specific client by utilizing the "Edit Gift Card" modal on the purchaser's profile. After assigning the gift card to a client, it will be transferred to the assigned client's profile, and the "Assign To" option will no longer be visible. Learn more here. |
