Whether it's a duplicate entry or an error, understanding how to delete tickets can help maintain accurate data. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to delete any open ticket in POS.
Things to know:
- You can delete open tickets, except for those with a total tendered amount. Tickets with a total tendered amount cannot be deleted.
Closed tickets cannot be deleted. However, if you need to make changes to a closed ticket, you can re-open it and adjust the details. Learn how to edit a closed ticket here.
- For tickets generated from classes or appointments booked through the booking widget that have not been paid for, you can delete them. This includes the following types of open tickets:
- Tickets with appointments covered by a package
- Tickets with appointments covered by a membership
- Tickets for appointments booked online (pay in person)
- Tickets for appointments booked online with a promo
- Tickets for appointments booked online with a gift card
- Tickets for appointments booked online with loyalty points
Tickets for appointments booked online with referral points
- Deleting a ticket for an appointment does not remove the appointment itself. After deleting a ticket, you will need to create a new ticket for the same appointment to check out.
- Deleted tickets cannot be undone
- Deleted tickets are not reflected in reports and do not affect any reports in MyTime
To delete an open ticket:
- Navigate to POS > Open Tickets
- Filter to the preferred date range if needed
- Click on the Ticket # of the ticket you'd like to delete. This can be open tickets from appointments, products, etc
- On the bottom left-hand side of the ticket page, select Delete
The ticket will be deleted and no longer visible in the open ticket section.
