Appointment service statuses help track the completion of individual services within multi-service bookings. These statuses, which can be updated from the appointment modal, serve solely as a reminder for staff about which services are still pending and do not affect other aspects of MyTime. In this article, we will explore the various service statuses and how to use them to streamline your business operations effectively.
Things to know:
- The ability to add appointment service statuses is governed by the "Accessing Account Settings" access control permission.
- Service statuses are strictly for internal staff tracking. They will never appear on client-facing appointment confirmations, reminders, invoices, or receipts.
- Service statuses apply to both single-service and multi-service appointments.
- When creating an appointment, the system automatically defaults to the status listed first on your settings page.
- If you change the service assigned to an appointment, the service status will automatically reset to the default (first) option.
- If an appointment is canceled or rescheduled, the full service status history is preserved in the audit trail for reporting and tracking purposes.
- Status updates apply to individual appointments only—changing a status on one visit within a recurring series will not affect the rest of the series.
