In this article, we will discuss how to import gift cards via the Clients tab.
Things to know:
Importing client gift cards allows you to add multiple gift cards at once, ensuring data accuracy and enhancing the client experience by enabling easy redemption. To successfully process each row of data, you must provide one of the following combinations:
- Gift card code, amount, MyTime client ID (or client ID), MyTime location ID (or location ID)
- Gift card code, amount, MyTime location ID (or location ID), recipient email, recipient first name, recipient last name.
Importing Gift Cards
To import clients gift cards, simply:
- Go to the Clients tab and select Manage Clients
- From the drop-down menu, choose Import Client Gift Cards
- You will be redirected to the Import Gift Cards page
- Download the spreadsheet

Enter your gift card information
- code - This field is required. This is the code that identifies each gift card
uniquely. - amount - This field is required. This is the current value of the gift card, not
the initial amount. - mytime_client_id - The internal MyTime ID of the client. This field is provided by
MyTime for existing clients. - mytime_location_id - The internal MyTime ID of the location. This field is
provided by MyTime. - client_id - This is the external ID of the client from the clients.csv file.
- locations_id - The id of the location from the locations.csv file where the gift card
was purchased - recipient_email - This is the email address of the client receiving the gift card
- recipient_first_name - This is the first name (or first name initial) of the client
receiving the gift card - recipient_last_name - This is the last name (or last name initial) of the client
receiving the gift card - sender_name - This is the full name of the person sending the gift card
- code - This field is required. This is the code that identifies each gift card
- Upload the spreadsheet
- Click on the Upload button
